Snap Snap

Another personal project that I made (in lieu of assignment stacking up on the table but still...) by using pictures and some illustration. Is not refined because I just wanted to to try out the effect. Found it to be quite nice. Maybe next time I'll refine the illustration more to make it nice. Anyway, this is about 100+ frames, so yeah, wont be doing this again anytime soon. LOL.

How To Do A Simple Animation Gif.

The short video below is what I have prepare for Visual Communication - How To assignment. Is a powerpoint presentation, but the slide animation is not showing therefore there might be some overlapping of words and confusing sequences to it. Well is my 1st try, I'll try to perfect it later if there are request to do so. xP

How to start a simple animation.

Pimping the Header

Got the idea after looking at CJ blog header. He placed an animated anime character on the header. It make me curious whether I could do the same by modifying my header and add some animation to it then save it as a gif file. Apparently it works. =D However this is just the 1st version. Going to improve on it more later when I have got the time to slowly design the animation.

In case you are wondering what am I talking about, it is about the falling leave above the title Salon de Medias.

Flowchart Answers

Q1.

The reasons why I want to use flowchart in my mobile interface design and screen interface design is because I can lay out the structures of the different functions that I would include in the design. I can map out easily the position of each functional buttons and which menu it interact with. It can also help me figure out problems that might occur while designing the interface. Furthermore it can help me to map out problem and solution for the interface if an error should occur. It also help me to determine whether the structure of the flowchart is easy to understand and whether it would be user friendly when implemented in real usage.

Q2.

As I have mention in Q1, by trying out the interface with mean of flowchart I could determine the user friendliness of the function buttons and menus. With easy to understand flow and logical mapping, the user would not have difficulties navigating through the menus and buttons. It also help the user to make easier choices as it is usually a yes and no situation without confusing the user. It also provide the user with prompt access as the user would be able to understand the interface with ease. Furthermore, an easy interface would make the user much more relax and happy while using it.

More Experiment

Whilst doing the Icon assignment I tried to imitate the moving lines gif that our lecturer give us. So this is kinda the result i got. Only 3 frame with 3 object. More experiment to come...lol when am I gona finish my assignments.....









This experiment is simple... just make the circle turning around in perspective view. Don't stare too long, later you get a headache.

My Character!

Finally! Got the gif to work on the blog... took me bout 30mins of troubleshooting (nearly took out the gun and shot someone), to get it working. For some unknown reason to me, the previous gif animation posted with no problem, but this one got a bit of issues. x.x!!


Anyway, this animated gif character is call Droppie. Took bout 3 hours to make him with simple animation. It just take some effort in getting the sequence right and it is good to go. Yeah did this instead of finalising the Icons assignments. LOL.
