Project Definition
This project is to redesign the layout and navigation of the website of Malaysia Residency. We will still maintain the color and size of the logo. Also, information available in the current website will be retained as much as relevant and if it is necessary, acquire additional information to enhance the website functionality. Also keeping with the current website, information such as events and contacts will be place at the homepage for easy accessibility of user. Extra feature like login would be propose but not essentially important.
Target Audience
The target audience for such services would be primarily working professionals and also adult within the age of 40 years old to 50 years old who is planning for their retirement home. Secondary audience are businessman and investors from abroad to encourage them to invest or set up companies in Malaysia.
Goals Aimed
The website primary goal is to inform and attract people to know more or to use their services to migrate to Malaysia. The client aims is to gain an upper hand in providing migration services with other competitors with attractive website and also better traffic at their website.
The website can increase the client edge in the competition by providing constant updated information about migration to Malaysia. It can also provide information such as events or forum organise by them or various party around the world. With that, user can felt confident in trusting the client as the client is very much diligent in updating themselves and also well informed in doing what they do best. Another short term effort that could help in promoting the site is to have a inquiry form where user can submit questions about the services.
In the long run, the increase in traffic will result in the client website be at the top of the search engine when keywords are included. This would ultimately generate more profit for the client as more user will be going through the site.
Another aim of redesigning the website is to attract the user to further navigate through the website. In order to achieve that, the website has to be friendly, visually appealing and also informative. Because the targeted audience are of people who is mature and educated, the functionality of the website plays a big role in attracting the user. The website has to be also neat and tidy, and be universal. Thus, I propose to have a language option for user from other countries that might not be fluent in English. This also add the appeal of that the client is well aware of the needs of users from certain countries.
Competition
Primary competition in the this market are from other agency who also hold a licence under the MM2H program to help foreigners to migrate to Malaysia. Their approach are very similar to out client. Providing information on their website and also the option of language and events. However, one aspect that most competition lacks is the updating of most current information and a venue for user to inquire about the service or any aspect of migration.
