Pioneer One : Simply Amazing.

A quick synopsis is that the show is about an object falling out of the sky, turning out to be something out of this world. Tom Taylor, the person incharge of homeland security is dispatch to the scene. What he eventually found out bring him to a crossroad of acting on orders or acting on conscience.

Project Definition
This project is to redesign the layout and navigation of the website of Malaysia Residency. We will still maintain the color and size of the logo. Also, information available in the current website will be retained as much as relevant and if it is necessary, acquire additional information to enhance the website functionality. Also keeping with the current website, information such as events and contacts will be place at the homepage for easy accessibility of user. Extra feature like login would be propose but not essentially important.
Target Audience
The target audience for such services would be primarily working professionals and also adult within the age of 40 years old to 50 years old who is planning for their retirement home. Secondary audience are businessman and investors from abroad to encourage them to invest or set up companies in Malaysia.
Goals Aimed
The website primary goal is to inform and attract people to know more or to use their services to migrate to Malaysia. The client aims is to gain an upper hand in providing migration services with other competitors with attractive website and also better traffic at their website.
The website can increase the client edge in the competition by providing constant updated information about migration to Malaysia. It can also provide information such as events or forum organise by them or various party around the world. With that, user can felt confident in trusting the client as the client is very much diligent in updating themselves and also well informed in doing what they do best. Another short term effort that could help in promoting the site is to have a inquiry form where user can submit questions about the services.
In the long run, the increase in traffic will result in the client website be at the top of the search engine when keywords are included. This would ultimately generate more profit for the client as more user will be going through the site.
Another aim of redesigning the website is to attract the user to further navigate through the website. In order to achieve that, the website has to be friendly, visually appealing and also informative. Because the targeted audience are of people who is mature and educated, the functionality of the website plays a big role in attracting the user. The website has to be also neat and tidy, and be universal. Thus, I propose to have a language option for user from other countries that might not be fluent in English. This also add the appeal of that the client is well aware of the needs of users from certain countries.
Competition
Primary competition in the this market are from other agency who also hold a licence under the MM2H program to help foreigners to migrate to Malaysia. Their approach are very similar to out client. Providing information on their website and also the option of language and events. However, one aspect that most competition lacks is the updating of most current information and a venue for user to inquire about the service or any aspect of migration.

Analysis:-
Overall a very rich in color and texture web design. It give an impression of an high class or classy feel. What attract me most the the choices of pictures use in the website. They are stunning. The layout is quite good and also very helpful. They also include topics like event and information about how to do thing. One thing I find lacking is the testimonial page. It somehow does not look like it belongs in the website.

Analysis:-
The design for the site is simple and color use is quite dull. Use a lot of pictures on the banner to showcase Malaysia but it is not sharp and picture change too fast. This site is very informative as it listed down a lot of information that anyone would need. However the text layout, paragraph and hierarchy can be better. Navigation buttons are easy to understand. A good thing about this site is the consideration for user from other countries like China and Italy who might not be fluent in English.

Analysis:-
This site first impression to me is that is made probably in the 2000 to 2004. The site resolution I estimate is 800x600. The layout is bad. The buttons are not designed. The amount of information is not properly categories or indexed. The only thing good to mention is that there is hierarchy use in the text to indicate important things and things that the reader should take note.

Analysis:-
This site is not related to Malaysia but to our neighbour Singapore. Overall this site is very informative and the information is well categorize. Design is simple and sleek. Use icon for some buttons. Can see there effort in type treatment. Overall easy to navigate site. The only down point is that the layout is too simple. It does not have flare to it although the information is interesting.

Analysis of Malaysia Residency Website.
Overall the website is simple and neat. The grid line are arrangement properly. However, it can be improve to make the site look more interesting. Typography can be improve a lot because there is a lot of typography mistakes. The information can be break into categories for easy navigation and also much simpler for the user to absorb the information provided. Pictures can adopt the lightbox effect. Use of icons and background pictures to symbolise features or buttons can make the site more interesting.
